Projects

Such Projects exemplify the use of technologies, of the most diversified kinds, such as mobile computation, biometrics and geo-processing. These technologies, allied to police work, result in direct benefit to the population, aiding the investigation of crimes, speeding up services regarding requests from citizens, and solving crimes, thus rendering better quality public safety services.

The Projects that Dr. Vasco Furtado developed are considered essential for the satisfactory operation of the organs of Public Safety. They are: Integrated Center of Safety Operations (CIOPS), System of Judiciary Information (SIP) and the Criminal Identification System and Electronic Police Station.

As Director of the Integrated Center of Electronic Information (CIT) of SSPDS, Dr. Vasco Furtado received a compliment from Councilman Paulo César Feitosa Arrais of the City Hall of Fortaleza, for recognition of the importance of the idealization of the Electronic Police Station Project. This tool is very important for society, as it aims to help and modernize the procedures carried out by the Civil Police, in the registrations by the Internet of Occurrence Bulletins of lesser gravity such as: missing people, thefts and loss of documents, checks and cellular phones.

Integrated Center of Safety Operations (CIOPS)

This new organ was created with the objective of speeding up the interconnecting actions of the main institutions of public safety of a State: the Civil police, the Military police and the Fire brigade, in the emergency services rendered to the citizen of the State.

This Center possesses a IT system that coordinates the exchange of information among the corporations, resulting thus in a faster communication between them.

No CIOPS existe uma central única instalada onde é realizado os atendidos através de chamadas telefônicas.

With this integration it is possible to make the service more agile, because the information will be shared, and through a single phone call it will be possible to give orientations to all of the involved corporations.

Police Information (SIP) and Criminal Identification Systems (SIC)

They are systems that have the objective to automate the operational and managerial activities of the Civil police, propitiating integration with the other safety corporations through the regular and immediate rendering of information, allowing the identification of criminal information and the accomplishment of technical work in a reduced space of time.

With the use of a system of this amplitude, we can emphasize ease in the control of police registers with the on-line emission of the bulletins of occurrences, control on the course of these occurrences, their filing away or openings of inquiries, follow-up and control of the inquiries and registration of the data of the lawsuit, greater speed in the identification of criminals through the use of automated resources of investigation, organization and maintenance of the files of occurrences and criminal identification, economy of time for the research of data, photographs, register of fingerprints, and documents and democratization in the access to information by the police units.
